THE MUSIC I LOVE

Revolution Music

                Hark! Hark! Hear the lark,
As it soars up to the sky!
                How thimbleful in her flight!
How free as she warbles high!
How melodious the tune she's singing!
Its music sweet, oh, how exciting!

"Ding! dong! ding!" sounds the school-bell
As it rings for every boy and girl,
                How monotonous in its tune!
Still it vibrates a simple song.
How bore-some, how tiresome to hear!
Its music low and sounding clear.

" La! la! la! la!" hums my mother,
As she cuddles her baby to sleep,
"How sweet" I say to myself,
"Is it the same song she sang to me?
How thrilling, how inviting its melody!
Its music sweet, goes on clear and steady.

Many things in their splendor, produce music,
The waves, the trees, the birds, the inserts,
                      and the bees
How beautiful are they in their own ways,
How they comfort us, how we wonder!
But the most melodious music I love to hear,
Is the mosquito's hum in my ear.
