IN MEMORY OF MY MOTHER

Call me to your side, Mother, though

       you are far away.

I need your warm comforting arms as

       I  used to do when I was a young

       child at times of distress.

I Now feel lonely when I remember

       those years when I was young and

       unable to help you in your difficulties

       and hardships.

My love for you, Mother, started from

       the time I learned to love you.

Various inherited traits from you, Mother,

       have helped me much in my studies;

       yet though I have them.

Mother, still I need you.

I have missed you, Mother, since the

     time you departed for your eternal rest.

You are gone but my love for you will still

      linger in my heart till my bones will

      turn into ashes.

You left us, Mother, when e were yet young

       and now that we have reached the age

       of maturity we wish to call you back to

       be once again at our sides to feel our

       eternal love for you.

We want also to let you see us, how we adore

       and honor your memory, but above all

       we assure you,

Mother, of our prayer for your eternal repose.
