Labor is a god given force, a life essence,
Maker of life's values, producer of wealth,
Guard of the world sirens that assail as,
Vice, worries, and poverty it ride us.
Labor makes one intellectually great.
For a man who honestly works
Labor gives success, comfort, and elegance
Intend of idleness, misery, and want.
Labor is great, noble, and sacred,
Guard of virtue of which we tread
It's a true measure of civilization
A means to manhood, great a nation,
The active are blessed with the true relish of life
For the greatest labor gains the greatest rewards.
